Legal / Financial Administrative Assistant Our client, a multiservice international law firm is seeking a skilled legal administrative assistant to support a high-profile Partner/ Co-Chair who advises philanthropists and tax-exempt organizations on tax matters related to advancing their missions. The successful hire will also support two associates focused on the private wealth practice. The work this team does is very niche and rewarding.

The ideal applicant will have at least two years of legal administrative support experience and a strong financial aptitude. The Assistant will need to have strong attention to detail in reviewing tax returns, be able to utilize the advance features in Excel, track workflow through the pipeline, and follow up on any outstanding items. Other job duties are to:

  • Generate, prepare, and organize documentation and forms requisite to the tax exempt and trusts and estates practice areas such as wills, codicils, agreements, amendments, trusts, powers, designations, distribution provisions, etc.
  • Coordinate and implement high volume of charitable donations on behalf of high-net-worth individuals. Interface with charities for details of implementation and tracking. assist in obtaining asset valuations, review accountings, prepare cash reconciliations and proposed asset distributions.
  • Manage and maintain calendar and assist in meeting deadlines. Heavy client contact and must schedule appointments and meetings, arrange for conference rooms, and communicate information to all respective parties. Make travel arrangements, prepare itineraries, and compile documents for travel-related meetings.
