Arconic is seeking a Contract Manager to join the team in Alcoa, TN or Pittsburgh, PA.
Under the oversight of a senior attorney, the Contract Manager will be principally responsible for administering the contracting process, including review, drafting, and approvals; counseling business partners (including senior leadership); and assisting with negotiations. This role is critical in mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining an efficient contracting process.
Responsibilities
- Manage the contract drafting and review pipeline, including but not limited to procurement and sales contracts with moderate to high risk to the business
- Administer the company contract repository and assist in development and deployment of regular updates to terms, templates, playbooks, and supporting software systems
- Analyze contract requirements to ensure compliance with laws and regulations and company policies
- Guide the preparation and negotiation of contracts and counsel business partners on contract risks, terms, and internal approval policies
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including sales and purchasing, legal, finance, and operations experts to review, revise, and negotiate contracts
- Exercise independent judgment, effectively spot and analyze major issues, and offer creative resolutions
- Assist with development and maintenance of contracting policies and processes
- Effectively collaborate with legal and non-legal colleagues and communicate risks and other items with key decision makers
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Contracts Manager
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor Degree
- Experience in sales contracts, and contract review and approval process improvements,
- Possess strong business acumen skills to understand business operations and issues, adapt and remain flexible during times of change and provide insights on how to achieve Company goals.
- Embraces change and has a desire to try new things and learn new tools
- Exceptional analytical ability – must be able to understand and assess business implications of decisions
- High level of attention to detail and ability to effectively manage numerous ongoing matters
