Preparing and filing documents required in the prosecution and maintenance of U.S. trademarks, using the U.S. PTO’s ETEAS filing system.Preparing and filing documents required in the prosecution and maintenance of Madrid-based filings with WIPOCommunicating with clients regarding requirements for filing applications, maintaining trademarks, and reviewing evidence of use required in connection with these trademark documentsCorresponding directly with foreign associates on routine trademark prosecution, opposition, cancellation, and/or maintenanceHandling or assisting on special projects as assigned, including copyright applications, customs recordation, UDRP actions, client website review and domain name registration
What Will You Bring to the Table?
3+ years’ experience as a Trademark Paralegal (or similar equivalent experience) with both U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution.Familiarity with TTAB proceedings, copyright filings and UDRP actions.Experience with worldwide trademark laws and procedures, including WIPO filings.Trained in conducting preliminary trademark searches. Ability to commute to the office 3 days per month
