Position Overview:  

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paralegal specializing in Labor & Employment law, to join our dynamic global legal team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the legal department by handling a wide range of labor-, employment- and immigration- related matters, including supporting the Associate General Counsel of Employment, Labor and Immigration, employment litigation support, and policy development across all regions (America, EMEA, APAC and LATAM). This position requires an understanding of employment laws, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently and productively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing labor, employment and immigration legal matters, including employee relations, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour compliance. 
  • Provide support in handling employee relations issues, conducting internal investigations, and managing disciplinary actions. 
  • Monitor changes in labor and employment laws and regulations in all jurisdictions where the company has employees, ensuring the company's policies and practices are compliant.  
  • Draft, review, and update company policies and procedures related to labor and employment law to ensure compliance with global regulations. 
  • Provide employment litigation and administrative proceedings support, including gathering and organizing documents, managing discovery, drafting responses to interrogatories and subpoenas, and coordinating with outside counsel. 
  • Develop and maintain templates for employment-related documents, including offer letters, employment agreements, and separation agreements.  
  • Assist in developing and delivering training programs on labor and employment laws and best practices for management and HR teams. 
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all employment, labor, and immigration-related legal matters, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with retention policies. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for the employment legal function and HR.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification preferred. 
  • At least 3 years of experience working as a paralegal at a law firm or in-house legal department. 
  • Understanding of current employment and human resource related laws and developments. 
  • Self-starter who is adept at project management, and can meet deadlines with quality work product. 
  • Strong collaborative skills with legal and non-legal stakeholders, with a proven ability to deliver on big initiatives. 
  • Litigation experience is desirable. 
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. 
  • Analytical, problem solving, and project management skills. 
  • As we are a global company, someone in the U.S. Central or East Coast time zone is preferred to engage, as needed, with our colleagues in EMEA and APAC. 

U.S pay range

$80,000 - $94,000 USD
