While this position is based in Dallas, the successful candidate will also provide support to other Texas and national offices and may be required to travel occasionally for trial preparation and trial. What You’ll Do
As a valued member of our Litigation Practice Group, you will:
Support all aspects of a busy litigation practice, including intaking, organizing, and processing large datasets for attorneys and clients.Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Relativity to assist attorneys with case management and litigation tasks.Prepare draft discovery responses and basic pleadings with precision and efficiency.Participate in discovery by assisting with discovery review, preparing case summaries and chronologies, requesting and tracking records, drafting discovery requests, and responses and preparing basic pleadings.Stay current with Texas and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas statutes to ensure compliance and accuracy in filings.Assist with trial preparation, including summarizing depositions, coordinating with experts, preparing exhibits, preparing witness files, preparing witness and exhibit lists and PowerPoint presentations.Manage multiple priorities while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and producing high-quality work.Exhibit exceptional attention to detail to produce an accurate, high-quality work product.Ensure timekeeping and compliance with client billing guidelines, and maintaining accurate records to meet billing requirements.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you must have:
A minimum of 5 years’ litigation experience, preferably in a regional or national law firm.Strong working knowledge of litigation support systems and legal technologies.Proven experience managing case files and supporting attorneys through trial preparation and trial work.Excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively coordinate with attorneys, clients, and team members.A track record of handling timekeeping and adhering to client billing guidelines with accuracy.
