THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE
As Senior Counsel, you will partner with the VP Assistant General Counsel & Asst. Secretary - Transactions & Regulatory, Chief Legal Officer and other members of the Legal, Risk & Governance Services Team to provide legal support and risk management services for Ulta Beauty. In this director level role, you will also interact extensively with Ulta Beauty’s business teams, be responsible for managing outside counsel and participate in team initiatives. Specifically, this role will work closely with the Company’s marketing (including promotions, advertising, brand protection, agencies, modeling talent and related campaigns), pricing, procurement, and other functional teams to provide legal counseling in support of Ulta Beauty’s strategic initiatives. The role includes management of the company’s intellectual property portfolio (trademarks and patents), and handling of disputes and claims related to pricing and licensing. The position will report to the VP Assistant General Counsel & Asst. Secretary. The role will be located at Ulta Beauty’s corporate offices in Bolingbrook, Illinois however, remote candidates with the ability to travel to the corporate offices on a regular basis will be considered.
The ability to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with business partners at all levels across the enterprise, as well as with colleagues on the Legal, Risk & Governance Services team, is a must. The ideal candidate for this role will have significant in-house and/or law firm experience supporting consumer facing/retail businesses, strong business acumen, excellent counseling skills, the ability to take a strategic and business-focused approach to complex legal issues and an entrepreneurial mindset. The pay range for this position is $171,600.00 - $231,900.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
