GENERAL SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will be able to work independently in a fast past and constantly changing environment. You will be expected to handle matters across a variety of disciplines and work effectively with numerous business stakeholders. In this role, you will work closely with our General Counsel and other members of human resources and operations teams. A sharp analytical mind and strong work ethic are critical for this role. Ideal candidates will have a combination of general labor and employment, human resources counseling, and litigation experience. We are looking for a quick-study with the ability to adapt to the needs of our evolving business, who also enjoys collaborating on cross-departmental projects. This role is a direct report to the General Counsel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be able to identify, advise on and minimize business risks and propose practical solutions.
- Display exceptional interpersonal skills and interact with all level of professionals in the organization.
- Manage EEOC matters and HR related litigation.
- Proactive advice and active partnership with our Human Resources department with respect to employment related laws, such as wage and hour matters, state law requirements, ADA, FMLA, and benefits matters.
- Legal review of HR and employment related policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- J.D. from top tier law school with at least 5 years of experience at reputable law firm and/or in-house department. Licensed to practice and in good standing in at least one applicable jurisdiction.
- Litigation experience preferred.
- Superior interpersonal skills and judgment.
- Strong organizational and project management skill.
- Ability to manage fast-paced workload and add value to multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-starter who shows project ownership and enjoys working across departments.
- Ability to effectively present information to senior management through MS Office and other software tools.
