The team

Our Product & Program Management teams work on some of the most impactful and challenging problems in the Software industry. We are a highly collaborative cross-border group that operates on the edge between Engineering and the business and helps to design solutions from concept to launch – all while focusing on and advocating for what’s best for our customers. We work closely with Engineering and Design to create some of the most innovative never-been-done-before products. We partner with the Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Security teams to bring the product to market.

This position

DocuSign is looking for a Director of Product Management to run our mortgage business. As such, you will be responsible for helping to set our company direction in the lending domain. This will include driving our digital closing solution centered around our Rooms for Mortgage product, eSign product, and Remote Notary product. You will be working cross-functionally with the Marketing, Support, Field Enablement, and Customer Success teams to make sure we have a world-class business.

As a Director of Product for Rooms for Mortgage, you will be responsible for overseeing product development of our closing technologies, including our document preparation tools, integrations, and integrating with our partner teams such as eSignature and eNotary teams. This role will be managing a team of product managers.

You will work closely with Senior Product Management professionals, Prospects, Customers, Compliance, Security, Support while collaborating with User Experience, Engineering, IT, Marketing, Product and Program Management to help develop the roadmap, vision, definition, design, and deliver the underlying platform systems and applications necessary to support continued system scale, a broadening product portfolio, the basis for new innovative product capabilities, and improve operational efficiencies related to these industries.

Your objectives will be directly linked to business metrics such as revenue, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

This is a leadership role reporting to the VP of Real Estate & Digital Closing.

Responsibilities

• Direct and approve the work of multiple product development teams working on a portfolio of projects
• Specifically, own and align the overall strategy and roadmap for DocuSign’s mortgage offerings to DocuSign’s DAC strategy
• Oversee, coach, and guide executional PMs who: Drive the vision and requirements, translating them to functional specifications, facilitating a sound design and actively leverage primary and secondary research to deepen understanding of customers across their lifecycle, from awareness to renewal and expansion
• Drive insights on the markets and segments in which these applications compete based on expertise in industry trends, events, and channels to anticipate customer needs and strengthen our competitive position
• Guide multiple teams in profiling high value and innovative use cases purchased and implemented by a variety of industry customers
• Discover new use cases and market opportunities in digital closing space
• Evaluate and prioritize requirements in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Product team leadership, leveraging industry best practices. Evangelize mortgage product suite offerings internally and externally.
• Understand and use key leadership principles and best practices to move cross-functional teams to high-performance mode in the shortest time possible
• Connect people and disrupt silos by facilitating a culture of deep cooperation and sharing networks across DocuSign
• Directly engage in organizational alignment including PLC activities, innovation reviews, go-to-market, etc.
• Drive external partner relationships and prospective partner opportunities in coordination with Business Development team
• In partnership with senior leaders, recommend and manage product development budgets and team resource plans
• Ensure all strategic, financial, and operational objectives are met
• Develop team's ability to evaluate broader and more complex data and insights, beyond pre-set metrics, to inform well-rounded solutions that may simultaneously address multiple issues or opportunities

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in a software engineering or product management experience
• 5+ years of experience in leading a product management team for an enterprise cloud/SaaS product/service
• Experience in the mortgage and lending domain with deep industry expertise. Experience in the mortgage closing process is a plus.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product Management, Design, Engineering, IT, Operations, Program Management, Marketing, Sales and Customer Support
• Direct experience using iterative or Agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM)
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technology-related area of study (CS, EE, IT, Systems, MIS, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA strongly preferred
• Demonstrated success building/managing large-scale technology products including new, existing, or legacy products
• Experience working with partners and business development to integrate partner technologies into an enterprise SaaS product.
• An experienced influencer with the ability to collaborate well in a matrixed environment having multiple stakeholders
