Description

We are currently seeking a Compliance Analyst - Fintech to help a venture backed automotive company with the day-to-day operations of their compliance program.

This is a 6-month, temporary contract.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for efficient, accurate, timely intake and response to consumer and regulatory complaints.
  • Analyze and fully understand issues relative to compliance with various laws and regulations as applicable to Fair’s business and ensure appropriate resolution through written correspondence with consumers and/or regulators. 
  • Act as a compliance liaison and support the Servicing teams with complaints, issues or compliance related questions.
  • Analyze complaint data and monitor complaint trends to proactively identify potential areas of compliance risk or operational weaknesses and recommend changes.
  • Evaluate compliance controls, including related policies and procedures, to ensure business units are in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and recommend improvements.
  • Provide dedicated support to the onboarding and oversight of all new and existing third-party vendor relationships.
  • Assist with regulatory, internal, or other third-party audit requests.
  • Performs duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required to interact with various departments and outside contacts.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer protection regulations (i.e. UDAAP, FCRA, FDCPA, Reg M, CFPB guidance etc.).
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity -- can thoughtfully develop and implement compliance frameworks and processes to complex problems.
  • Excellent problem solving, time management and organizational skills required.
  • Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills, with an eagerness and willingness to learn and help others.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Bachelors degree from a top university
  • Strong knowledge of consumer protection regulations (i.e. UDAAP, FCRA, FDCPA, Reg M, CFPB guidance etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience at a high-growth technology company
  • Experience at a fintech company

Role Details: 

  • Anticipated Start Date: mid-April
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Schedule: 40hrs/week
  • Pay Rate: $45/hr - $65/hr
  • Benefits: healthcare, vision, dental
  • Location: Los Angeles, CA - Remote during COVID
