Contract Operations Management: Director, Contract Operations and Program Management (Third Party Governance, Legal, Global Supply Chain Management)

Responsible to serve as a leader driving strengthened coordination and integration between Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM), Accounts Payable, Third-Party Governance (TPG) and Legal.

Description

  • Responsible to rapidly assess current state and develop a long-term strategy with a clear path to rectify short term issues with the operation, process and communication connectivity between GSCM, TPG and Legal.
  • Utilize best practices and industry standards and have a developed network and deep understanding of the latest industry trends, innovations, and control meters.
  • Owns the process design and architecture, quality controls and QA/QC of the end to end vendor management process.
  • Lead the functional evaluation and manages the implementation of new business processes or process improvement opportunities.
  • Responsible for driving the simplification of the operational process and automation of standardized manual processes to improve productivity.
  • Relationship owner of feedback/action items from stakeholder teams, align efforts/deliver results.
  • Industry leader in envisioning and executing the entire procure-to-pay process, with the ability to effectively align policy, procedures, talent, systems, and reporting to deliver a seamless user experience for all stakeholders.
  • Responsible to challenge the status quo to improve existing workflows and processes to enhance internal client experience through creative thinking, innovative approach for vendor management.
  • Required to clearly articulate and implement a data strategy for supply chain management functions globally, utilizing multiple sources of data to drive proactive decision making, and/or support critical decision points across multiple functional areas related to vendor performance.
  • Support responses to inquiries from internal audit, regulators, or clients on supply chain management controls
  • PAYMENT CONTROLS – Owner to identify and align payment controls against purchase orders, contracts, and third-party engagements, as specified by bank policy. Provide monthly updates and reporting to management on unaligned invoices and payment control effectiveness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Business or Supply Chain degree preferred. Advanced degree preferred. 12+ years of total work experience preferred. Other preferred qualifications include:

  • 10-15 years of relevant work experience preferred in vendor management/negotiation experience.
  • University degree preferred ideally in an analytical discipline, e.g. business or engineering
  • Experience managing efforts to streamline the end-to-end procure to pay processes, including sourcing, auctions, third party risk assessments, negotiations, contracting, purchase order management, and payments.
  • Procurement and accounts payable operations executive with broad experience in all aspects of sourcing, supply chain management, and accounts payable.
  • Outstanding track record leading large, critical corporate change initiatives in financial services.
  • Collaborative, flexible approach to problem solving.
  • Broad skill set including strong understanding of vendor management/negotiations, leadership development, analytical horsepower, excellent business judgment, curiosity about how things work, and passion to create world class supply chain management program for internal clients.
  • Must be service oriented with exceptional interpersonal skills in order to communicate with all levels of company personnel and suppliers.
  • Outstanding people skills and ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple work streams, and have an eye for detail.
  • Full working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Must possess strong analytical, financial, oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing a team tasked with delivering against goals and targets
  • Highly analytical skill set with aptitude for data-driven argumentation
  • Strong communication skills and an assertive approach, whilst maintaining your ability to be vocally self-critical
  • A business focused thinking with a strong hands-on, results-driven mentality combined with a high desire to work strategically
