As a Senior Commercial Counsel, you are a collaborative, energetic and business-minded attorney with significant experience supporting commercial contracts (primarily enterprise sales, partnerships, tech integrations, and procurement agreements) and are well versed in privacy, data use, security and IP issues. You will work closely with stakeholders throughout the company, including Sales, Customer Success, Business Development, Marketing, InfoSec, Compliance and Finance, advising on legal risks, drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements and providing accurate, timely and practical legal advice. You have (or will gain) a deep understanding of what regulations will affect our business and can put the right agreements in place to position our company for success. You have an entrepreneurial mindset that enables you to work independently, initiating new projects and identifying ways to bolster and improve current processes and operations.

To thrive in this role, you bring 7+ years of relevant legal experience, with at least three years in-house (preferably at a high-growth company), drafting and negotiating sales, partnership, tech transactions and procurement-related agreements. You have working knowledge of privacy laws, including CCPA and GLBA, and have worked in the mortgage, real estate tech or fintech industries. You have the ability to lead diverse teams through complex negotiations, clearly communicating divisions of responsibility, deliverables, and timelines to relevant stakeholders. Above all, you are a curious, autonomous, and collaborative problem-solver who is excited to help solve the unique legal, contractual, and regulatory challenges our growing company will face.

A Juris Doctor from an accredited law school, and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar are required. This role requires practical business judgment and sound legal reasoning skills, a proactive and strong work ethic, a keen interest in relationship-building and problem-solving, and fluency translating legal advice into actionable guidance for innovative business and product teams.

Colorado applicants: This role pays $165,000-$190,000 annually plus participation in our equity plan (pay for other locations may vary).
