Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Regulatory Analyst to join ourRegulatory Operations team.

About the role

As a Senior Regulatory Analyst within our Regulatory Operations team, you will help develop and format our core insurance policy documents, the Certificates of Coverage and Evidences of Coverage. You will maintain ownership of workflows, tools and requirements to ensure operational success. You will guide the development of process improvements and facilitate cross-functional support where needed. You will work with a wide range of internal Oscar teams, as well as our external regulators. You will report to the Senior Manager of Regulatory Operations.

 

You will report to the Senior Manager of Regulatory Operations. This is a hybrid role, and you will work part of the time in the New York or Arizona office and part of the time working remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a strong understanding of the regulatory operations ecosystem and current strengths, weaknesses, and gaps within pertinent region(s).
  • Partner with the current members of the team and cross functional business partners to implement enterprise-wide initiatives to improve our business and member facing outputs, while protecting and improving the integrity of the Legal team deliverables
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of annual filing communication functions and regulator input, while providing crisp, polished next steps for internal and external partners.
  • Introduce tools and systems to support more efficient project management
  • Have a distinct handle on the structure of the team both operationally and culturally.
  • Project manage the internal tracking and monitoring of Regulatory Operations team deliverables.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a legal, healthcare-related or humanities field, or 4 years commensurate experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in business operations, consulting, legal writing, project management or healthcare.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Proficiency in designing and improving workflows.
