JOB SUMMARY:

As the Associate Corporate Counsel, you will be a key member of a small but mighty team reporting directly to the General Counsel. As a trusted business partner, you will have the opportunity to support a diverse portfolio of global projects in a fast-paced, high growth company.

RESPONISBILITIES:

      • Review, revise, and negotiate vendor agreements and third party contracts
      • Draft IP related agreements (licensing, etc.)
      • Research and advise on various areas of the law, globally
      • Counsel colleagues on various legal questions, such as: general corporate matters; employment law issues; IP protection and enforcement;, and general compliance matters
      • Protecting IP, including filing copyright protections, registering trademarks and identifying potential patent issues, as well as affirmatively going after infringers
      • Advise on regulatory and compliance matters
      • Assist in the development of global corporate policies, procedures, and best practices


QUALIFICATIONS:

      • JD Degree or equivalent
      • 2-4 years of attorney work experience with a top law firm in commercial andt, intellectual property matters, with sound knowledge in commercial contracts as well as IP
      • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized/eligible to practice law in the state of CT
      • Consumer Packaged Goods experience preferred
      • Significant exposure to complex commercial, corporate, or transactional matters
      • Strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously under tight time constraints and within budget parameters
      • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation and negotiation skills
      • Comfort with tactical execution
      • Passion for learning and solving problems, while having fun and going outside your skill setSuperior attention to detail, time management, and follow through
