This position will have legal responsibility for F-35 training and logistics programs and various global training programs within the Training and Logistics Solutions (TLS) line of business and will report to the General Counsel of TLS. The successful candidate must provide timely, accurate, and consistent legal advice to enable the line of business to achieve business goals while maintaining an acceptable level of business risk. The person filling this position will provide a wide range of legal support including advising key business leaders, program managers, contracting, subcontracting (sourcing), engineering and other program personnel on all aspects necessary to successfully win new business and execute existing programs. The successful candidate will work with program personnel drafting and negotiating prime and subcontract terms and conditions, intellectual property licenses, teaming agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and a variety of other contractual instruments in support of program efforts. The position requires a person with proven business orientation, strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills, a background in Government contracts and intellectual property licensing, and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and a strong work ethic. Will be required to secure a secret clearance. Undergraduate and J.D. degrees required. Must be admitted to practice law.
Basic Qualifications:
Prior experience required: Strong background in U.S. Government contracting and licensing and software agreements. Must be a motivated self-starter who can energize and collaborate with the team, with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a high volume of work.
Desired Skills:
Previous experience as outside counsel and/or in-house counsel. Experience with data rights, USG mandatory disclosures, teaming agreements, international contracting, export control, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and aerospace or defense industry is highly desired. This attorney must be a self-starter and able to work semi-autonomously.
