A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Collaborate closely with other members of the legal team located in St. Louis, Chicago, and Atlanta to implement enterprise-wide, accepted approaches to managing contract and other risks

Collaborate closely with project managers and leaders to understand business objectives when negotiating agreements

Collaborate with and advise members of the safety, finance, IT, and HR teams
-
Review, draft, and negotiate various construction and other contracts
-
Manage, maintain, and coordinate all documentation related to construction contracts
-
Assess and mitigate ARCO’s risk and provide suggestions to leadership
-
Maintain and grow relationships with vendors and title companies

Assist Operations and Leadership in problem-solving and managing risk
- Multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed Attorney with 4-7 years of experience

Experience in a construction organization or firm preferred

Substantive experience in construction and design/build contracts from the Owner, Subcontractor and/or Contractor's points of view

Familiarity with construction claims handling and understanding of insurance in the construction industry preferred

Flexible, with effective and timely communication skills

Able to lead and follow with equal ease, based on circumstances
