Job Description
Workday is a fast-growing Software as a Service (SaaS) company headquartered in the Bay area. We are looking for an outstanding lawyer with 10-15 years of legal experience to join our legal team. Based in the HQ office in Pleasanton, the Assistant General Counsel, Go To Market, will lead optimization of our global go to market legal strategy across all verticals and business segments, oversee the development and delivery of legal terms that deliver customer oriented solutions, and enable our strategic innovation and revenue growth objectives globally.
This lawyer will partner with our existing team of enterprise transactional attorneys and our partner business and legal functions to drive optimization of our global GTM contracting approach. This role will lead cross functional initiatives which align to our GTM strategy for new markets and our Strategic Growth Initiatives. This attorney will also play a key role in partnering with our legal teammates and Workday business functions on defining and supporting new offering introductions, and provide strategic support for our M&A and post M&A integration activities.
We are seeking a seasoned legal counsel who can manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced and high energy environment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional judgment and business acumen and be comfortable, effective and persuasive in dealing with customers, partners, senior management, and business and legal stakeholders and leading as an innovative change agent to drive process and cultural innovation.
