Cadence Design Systems (Cadence) seeks a highly motivated attorney to join Cadence’s Government and Trade Compliance group. As a member of this team and the legal department, you will play a key role in supporting Cadence’s trade compliance program with key responsibilities such as:

• Provide support on all ongoing activities related to export control laws and regulations;
• Assist in company-wide compliance programs and initiatives as well as special projects that support and enhance Cadence’s trade compliance program initiatives; and
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Sales, and R&D.

Potential candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications

• Experience in regulatory compliance and monitoring
• Resourceful self-starter with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with good communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and strong analytical skills.
• An individual who is highly team-oriented with a sense of humor and an open mind.
• 5+ years of attorney experience for a law firm and/or in-house with a multinational corporation.
• U.S. Experience in the software or technology industries is desirable as is a willingness to travel occasionally

• J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar in good standing.
