As an Advice and Counsel (AC) Investigator you are responsible for the execution and ownership of Employee Relations processes and practices, providing expert consultant and guidance to managers and employees. You work to deliver and ensure appropriate responses to any related employment issues that arise, while proactively supporting and maintaining a positive employment climate. You will lead on specific complex or sensitive cases, and formal processes for manager or above levels.
As directed by the Director, Advice and Counsel Investigator Team, you will provide guidance and mentoring to the Employee Relations Advisors in market.
This role will also provide market level oversight on ER activity to the market HR teams/Employee Relations Lead, identify trends and recommend appropriate solutions.
Investigators have responsibility for ensuring legislative and relevant CVS Policy Compliance of business activity and CVS culture, and ensuring that applicable CVS policies are up to date, compliant, maintained and appropriate for the achievement of business needs.
To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to do the following roles and responsibilities:
- Investigating workplace complaints of violations of policy for which failure to investigate might subject CVS to serious legal or financial risk.
- Developing and applying knowledge of employment and discrimination laws, whistle-blowing laws, rules of evidence, and other laws pertaining to investigation plans, investigations, reports and recommendations
- Managing Labor Union investigations, conducting labor investigations and design of collective labor agreements and facilities agreements
- Responding to inquiries from employees and managers regarding matters involving employment practices, policies, employment laws and compliance guidelines
- Providing advice, mentorship and counsel to managers, supervisors and HR colleagues on all Employee Relations issues, policy interpretation and questions
- Responding to employee issues and questions, providing feedback to managers to ensure appropriate action is taken

Required Qualifications
- 6 years Employee Relations, Investigator or Human Resources experience
Preferred Qualifications
- PHR/SPHR certifications
- Union industry experience
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of related professional work experience
