About The Job:
CHANEL's Intellectual Property, Counsel will be an important member of the CHANEL US Legal Department as the Counsel will handle infringement cases and provide support for trademark clearance and trademark matters. This exciting new role will play a key role in all things trademark.
The team is seeking someone who is highly motivated to take on challenges in a fast-paced environment. 5 years of relevant experience, minimum, is required to apply for this role.
Leveraging your unique experience, CHANEL will enable you to...
- Handle trademark disputes in the U.S., including preparing cease and desist letters and other correspondence relating to IP infringements, drafts opposition notices and cancellation petitions; have the ability to successfully negotiate resolutions of disputes; draft settlement agreements; manage outside counsel handling TTAB proceedings and litigations and assist with anticounterfeit cases.
- Prosecute Trademark applications, including assisting in trademark clearance searches, response to USPTO office actions and renewals.
- Handle other intellectual property disputes; able to advise stakeholders on patent, copyright, domain name and trade secret issues.
- Draft commercial contracts, which will be considered a plus as the ideal candidate will assist the corporate team with drafting and negotiating corporate contracts.

Bachelor’s Degree and a Juris Doctorate
