Zoom is in search of an Analyst to join the Law Enforcement Response Team, located within Zoom’s Trust and Safety team. LERT handles law enforcement requests from around the globe. T&S handles  complaints of abuse on the platform (such as meeting disruptions) and is building Zoom’s arsenal of tools to combat abuse both before and after it happens.

Responsibilities:  

  • Manage and respond to incoming law enforcement requests and communicate with law enforcement agencies worldwide about them, by utilizing a combination of manual and automated tools to compile information potentially responsive to a particular law enforcement request 

  • Be willing to handle sensitive content, such as graphic, offensive, or disturbing content, violent or abusive language, and other objectionable material.

  • Be flexible and handle emergency law enforcement requests both during and outside of normal business hours, and sometimes overnight.

  • Communicate with law enforcement personnel by phone, in writing, Zoom meetings or Zoom Phone consistent with Zoom’s law enforcement response policies.

  • Help with tactical engagement and education for federal, state & local law enforcement agencies

  • Help obtain feedback from law enforcement and government agencies on safety initiatives and product developments at Zoom.

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years in law enforcement operations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required. 

  • Proficiency in MS Office or Google Docs.

  • Strong communications skills, including ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams. 

  • Extremely organized and detail oriented with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and balance legal risk and business impact in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Demonstrate strong work ethic, efficiency, attention to detail, meet demanding deadlines, and ability to work independently. 

  • Must be tech savvy and enjoy learning new technologies. 

  • Team-first attitude & growth mindset: every new challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow.

  • Knowledge of the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA).  

  • Bonus if you have experience in the telephony space (VOIP, lawful intercepts, etc)
