Employment Practices Analyst

Conduct investigations and prepare formal responses related to charges filed with administrative agencies and other matters implicating potential legal claims. Lead the management of requests for additional information made by administrative agencies or others and manage internal processing of matters during their pendency. Monitor and analyze trends in charges filed, elements discovered during investigations, mode of handling, and other matters reported. Work closely with labor and employment law attorneys in law department and with HR and labor relations groups across the organization. Essential Job Functions
- Address/manage administrative agency charges and other matters implicating potential legal claims for matters involving employment practices or public accommodations
- Strategize, coordinate and conduct the organization's investigation related to charges and other matters
- Identify and gather relevant documentation; analyze, process and archive appropriately to retain for internal purposes
- Elicit information through interviews of relevant individuals
- Craft formal responses to charges and other matters, assuring accuracy, propriety and professionalism
- Process and lead requests for additional information or other asks from administrative agencies; craft formal responses accordingly
- Direct, educate and mentor HR professionals, law clerks and interns, and less experienced analysts and paralegals, in the execution of investigatory and response process
- Research and analyze applicable laws, rules and regulations as needed
- Manage/maintain Matter Management, EthicsPoint and other databases
- Coordinate and keep HR, law and labor relations partners informed of status, trends and pertinent developments on matters handled
- Assist attorneys and outside counsel with written discovery process, preparation of company witnesses for testimony in depositions and proceedings, and on other aspects of attorneys' and counsel's concurrent or subsequent handling of matters
- Serve as company representative for investigations, agency on-site visits and interviews, mediations or other agency proceedings
- Act as company witness and provide testimony in interviews, hearings and depositions
- Assist with activities as assigned by the law department
- Travel to attend hearings, agency on-site visits, and other matters

Minimum Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in HR, labor relations, English, literature, or related field or Paralegal Certification
- 1 year of experience in HR, labor relations, ethics/compliance or legal fields
- 1 year of experience in conflict management
- 1 year of experience in technical or other high-level specialized writing
- 1 year of experience conducting of investigations of potential legal matters
- Ability to prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate/on-time results
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and peers
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Flexibility to handle ever changing scope of assignments and projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail and ability to draw conclusions
- Sound discretion, keen judgment and discernment in overall handling of sensitive matters with confidentiality
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and initiative
