We have an exciting opportunity for an ETHICS & COMPLIANCE MANAGER within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics-Acelis Connected Health Supplies business located at either Orlando, FL, Livermore, CA or Lake Bluff, IL.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for the organization's ethics/business conduct programs.
  • Provide specialized support in areas such as training, transparency, investigations, third party process and monitoring.
  • Define standards for appropriate business conduct and oversee investigations of potential wrongdoing.
  • Provide support for developing, updating, and maintaining elements of Abbott’s compliance program.
  • Assist in the development, administration, and implementation of OEC education and training (including supporting materials).
  • Assist in the development, administration, and implementation of divisional monitoring.
  • Identify compliance risk areas and recommend action plans to Sr. Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages, implements and administers the activities within Ethics & Compliance. 
  • Supports and communicates with divisional mid-level management to provide OEC and divisional policy interpretation and requirements, and assists with compliance risk assessment, trend analysis and best practice recommendations.
  • Serves as Privacy Steward for Acelis Connected Health Supplies business, responsible for assisting the Privacy Officer in keeping the company HIPAA-compliant.
  • Assists Sr. Manager on compliance audits, including tracking and evaluating findings and guides the business in preparing corrective action to address findings and recommendations and ensures timely completion.
  • Involved in formulating development plans, guidelines, policies and short-term strategies as well as setting goals and targets.
  • Identifies basic legal and regulatory issues and elevates as appropriate.
  • Supports the development of the company's planning and ensures successful collaboration with other functions to ensure their operations are conducted according to the company's Ethics & Compliance standards.
  • Prepares materials for external and internal parties and manages relationships to ensure the organization's interests are well-represented.

 

POSITION/ACCOUNTABILITY SCOPE:

  • Accountable to OEC Sr. Manager and OEC divisional team
  • Assigned matters/business units have a moderate impact on Abbott’s compliance program
  • Operates independently within well-defined expectations, checking in with supervisor(s)

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING   

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS required
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience with, or exposure to, business functions such as compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, government affairs, and finance. Experience with Medicare/Medicaid, Joint Commission or state credentialing compliance required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPA, Masters, JD, or equivalent work experience preferred
