We are seeking an outstanding Litigation Paralegal to join our Legal team to help support our rapidly growing business and Legal Department. 

As a Litigation Paralegal, you will partner with Spotify in-house counsel to research and manage legal claims made against Spotify in a variety of areas. You will be the primary escalation point for certain teams within the company (e.g., Customer Support) and department, as well as outside the company (e.g., law enforcement) for various disputes and inquiries to the company. You will help manage every stage of discovery-related initiatives. We are constantly trying to innovate how legal services are delivered to our business partners at Spotify, so it will be up to you to continuously assess and advise our work using a creative and pragmatic approach, including working with others on the Legal team and non-Legal teams to build out new and improved tools and processes for managing litigations and related matters.

What you'll do

• Assist counsel in case management, including coordination of multiple workstreams in complex litigations.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts within legal and other cross-functional teams, including outside counsel, to help solve problems and work with our lawyers on the team as necessary.
• Primary responsibility for discovery (including document and data preservation) and other fact-finding investigations.
• Conducts necessary factual research and analysis for the Litigation team.
• Manage third-party subpoenas, requests from law enforcement, small claims, and other legal requests for information from the company.
• Work collaboratively with our Legal Operations team to source or build better tools for discovery and other litigation-related processes.

Who are you

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of litigation support experience (preferably as a paralegal) at a law firm and/or in-house legal department. Experience in the media and/or entertainment industry is a plus, but not required. 
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, Google Apps (Gmail, Google Drive), Adobe Acrobat, and ability to learn new applications and document tools. 
• Particularly strong skills with Excel (or spreadsheet equivalent like Google Sheets) and/or a willingness and ability to grow more proficient.
• Effective analytical skills with the ability to review and organize numerous documents in complex matters.
• Exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills with the ability to execute efficiently against multiple deadlines and high-priority and high volume projects.
• Experience working with complex electronic discovery. 
• Proactive in recognizing needs, solving problems, anticipating issues and developing solutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment and act as a resource for the Litigation team.
