Job summary
Work hard, have fun and make history with Amazon's legal team. As an Associate Compliance Specialist, you will be a key member of our team, helping us support the rapidly growing Amazon Web Services business. The Associate Compliance Specialist will provide front line support for the AWS Support Legal team and our business partners, including AWS Customer Service and Trust & Safety. You will also provide front line support for a broad variety of legal and administrative matters. The successful candidate will possess the ability to work on repetitive tasks and novel issues requiring strong judgment and smart risk taking; have the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, both verbally and in writing; complete a high volume of tasks and projects quickly with little guidance; react with appropriate urgency; take effective action without having to know the total picture; and solve problems that affect people within the group or other related groups. The candidate will also be internal client-service oriented, have great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, have great organization skills, and have the ability to switch gears easily.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience in compliance or legal capacity
- Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Client-service oriented with strong attention to detail
- Strong desire and aptitude for learning new concepts
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations
- Prior project management experience
