Minimum qualifications:
- JD or equivalent practical experience.
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
- 3 years of experience as an attorney, including government, in-house, and/or at a law firm.
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of Google products and the technology industry.
- Familiarity with the discovery technology landscape.
- Ability to work collaboratively, separately, and strategically.
- Ability to identify issues, and develop reasonable and scalable solutions.
- Excellent leadership and written/verbal communication skills.

The Discovery Attorney team at Google is dedicated to advising the company on a wide variety of legal discovery issues, including for litigation, regulatory inquiries, and internal investigations. Additional Information
(Colorado only*) Minimum salary range between $214,000 - $230,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
*Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation range for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Help drive discovery best practices and identify emerging challenges.
- Manage discovery for litigation, government inquiries, and internal investigations.
- Contribute to the development of defensible and scalable discovery workflows and quality control procedures.
- Drive review projects, including delegating and directing the work of others.
- Collaborate across Legal and Google to safeguard our data.
