Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience working with marketing commercial agreements, including drafting and discussing commercial terms agreements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with intellectual property clearances.
  • Understanding of copyright and trademark law.
  • Ability to interpret legal documents, review marketing materials, advise business/product managers on legal and regulatory issues, and work with attorneys to complete agreements and launch marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to identify, escalate, and present issues to management.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

As a member of the Legal Contracts team, you review and revise contracts -- often juggling several at a time. You develop practical and innovative ways to meet Google's needs and keep the company thriving, with the ability to affect Google's long-term goals.

As a Marketing Contract Manager focused on marketing matters, you will proactively assess legal risks, advise on marketing agreements, and take a practical approach when advising clients.

In this role, you will work closely with various YouTube Business Legal teams to support numerous marketing campaigns. You will discuss and draft marketing and co-marketing agreements, sponsorship agreements, inbound services agreements, statements of work, and create marketing templates and fallbacks.

You will be the marketing point of contact for numerous YouTube clients, advising on agreement interpretation, risk assessment, mitigation, and discussing strategy. You will also work with creative agencies, YouTube creators, talent representatives, and media partners, and partner cross-functionally with Google Compliance and other Legal teams to ensure we are complying with Google policies.

You will review marketing assets for copyright and policy concerns, perform training, and develop marketing policies to guide cross-functional teams and improve efficiency.
