JOB DESCRIPTION

The Closing Manager is responsible for leading Ten-X’s Closing team, whose primary focus is to deliver an efficient, scalable, and compliant process that helps our clients through the closing period for CRE and note sales transacted on the Ten-X platform. The role requires a wide degree of creativity to ensure productivity and efficiency across the team’s operations, as well Ten-X title/escrow partners. The Closing Manager must rely on extensive operational management experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and key performance indicators.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Growing the efficiency of existing operational procedures and business processes to enhance the organization’s capacity for additional volume and scalability, working closely with legal, operations or product teams as necessary
  • Contributing operations information and recommendations to senior management for strategic initiatives, preparing action plans and implementation strategies
  • Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations
  • Reporting transaction results to senior management
  • Tracking staffing requirements and hiring new team members as needed
  • Devising performance metrics to address employee performance and corrective action plans, motivation, and rewards
  • Updating personal job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, or participating in professional organizations
  • Managing relationships with key title / escrow vendors and closely tracking service levels
  • Communicating customer issues with the wider operations team and devising procedures for improving the customer experience
  • Protecting revenue and implementing effective strategies for mitigating transaction cancellations during the closing process

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years of combined management or real estate transaction / title and escrow experience; OR advanced degree with eight (8) years of combined management or real estate transaction / title and escrow experience
  • Extensive track record of success working on CRE closings
  • Strong familiarity with the CRE field's concepts, practices, and procedures, and advanced knowledge of real estate contracts, closing and associated due diligence documents
  • Highly collaborative with an aptitude for building consensus and relationships among managers, employees and vendors
  • Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems using good judgment in a fast-paced environment
  • Polished written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and records management skills
  • Research and critical thinking skills • Technical acumen and familiarity with all MS Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
