Job Description

The Information Governance and Privacy Manager will assist the Information Governance Privacy Office (IGPO) operations team in implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the organization’s policies and procedures covering access to, and disclosure of competitively sensitive information, protected health information (PHI) and personally identifiable information (PII), collectively “Confidential Information”, in compliance with our best practices and policies, and our commitments to clients, customers, and regulators

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Conduct research on complex client service agreements to track and advise on non-standard provisions related to data use restrictions and data governance.
  • Work closely with and provide advice to business stakeholders and other internal stakeholders on information governance matters affecting client services.
  • Develop content for Privacy job aides and training decks.
  • Assist with interpretation of business/operational changes that may have impact on client services.
  • For larger projects, may help develop or project-manage procedures, processes, or guidelines to support business units and identify and implement ways to streamline practices and increase efficiency.
  • Perform special data governance projects, including development of training materials.
  • Solid research, writing and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and ask questions as needed
  • Aptitude for analyzing data and solving problems.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel

Required Qualifications

5+ years work experience in Privacy, Compliance, Business administration, Education or Legal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of privacy, security, and information governance standards and commitments applicable to CVS Health and its various business segments
  • Project management experience
  • Minimum of five years work experience in Privacy, Compliance, Business administration, Education or Legal.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent years of experience
