The Role:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced attorney with data privacy, information security to join our growing legal team. As Senior Corporate Counsel, you will partner with information security, marketing, finance, and business development teams on strategic corporate organization arrangements and all related corporate legal matters.

Your ability to foresee corporate legal issues and provide pragmatic solutions will have a direct impact on our ability to scale. What you will be doing:
- Provide legal advice on privacy and information security matters to other Legal Team members and cross-functional teams, including review of Data Privacy Agreements for commercial teams.
- Work with the Information Security team to maintain and grow the data privacy governance program, including drafting and updating relevant internal privacy policies for Neo4j and affiliated entities and advising on appropriate privacy controls, risk mitigation options, and compliance strategies.
- Ensure appropriate Privacy (Individual Rights, Data Retention, Third-Party Data Sharing, Audit & Monitoring, etc.) and Compliance (anti-corruption, trade sanctions/OFAC risks) controls are incorporated into the organization.
- Develop and provide ongoing education on applicable laws and regulations relating to privacy risk areas.
- Assist on other corporate-related projects as needed. We are a lean team so lots of opportunity to contribute and continue to grow in the role!
What you bring (experience):
- Legal Credentials. J.D. from top law school and a license to practice law in one of the 50 United States.
- Data Privacy Law. At least five years’ experience with data privacy and information security legal matters.
- Global Team. Experience working with teams across the globe, including identifying and providing solutions to data privacy and information security compliance matters in different jurisdictions.
- Privacy and Information Security. You are familiar with those aspects of data protection law and practice that are relevant to negotiating and closing software and SaaS agreements, including GDPR and CCPA.
- Open Source. You are familiar with open-source business models; or, if not, you are eager to learn about them.
