Senior Specialist, Legal Services - Remote USA
Overview:
The GBSC (Global Business Services Center) is the shared services organization for Mastercard. Consistent with the One LFI model, GBSC is partnering with the Law, Franchise, and Integrity (LFI) team to build a legal shared services function. The GBSC team is predominantly co-located in a collaborative working environment in the heart of the Mastercard Technology Operations headquartered in St. Louis, MO. Select regional hubs exist to provide additional scale and agility. The GBSC provides services to all regions and all business units spanning 50 countries.
The Senior Specialist – Legal Services works within the broader GBSC Legal Services team and help to further enhance Mastercard’s enterprise-wide contract management systems, repository and legal workflows and will be reporting to the Director – Legal Services.

Role:
- Design and maintain automated workflows (including contract template rationalization, contract template deconstructions and contract workflow configuration)
- Manage contract template intake process and contract template pipeline
- Analyze contracts and commercial and legal requirements to determine best workflow path
- Responsible for user acceptance testing and ongoing deployment, feedback gathering and reporting, as well as communications to the attorney and supporting teams
- Provide metrics and KPIs to show progress against goals
- Routinely draws upon valuable learning from others and past experiences to identify key opportunities, lead projects, and provide effective solutions
- Drives, anticipates, and embraces the change process by quickly learning new concepts and techniques and helping others to do so as well
All About You:
- Must have prior experience with a workflow designer tool
- Ironclad contract template and workflow design experience a huge plus
- Must have good understanding of legal agreements and purpose
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, and suggest new methods to improve client experience and department productivity
- Project manage Legal team initiatives
- Advise stakeholders and project teams on operational capabilities, gaps, and recommended changes.
- Work cross functionally with Contract Services, Legal Operations team, Attorneys, and our partners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with emphasis on collaborating with key legal and business stakeholders to negotiate and confirm legal and business contract terms
- Experience initiating and managing improvement in areas of customer legal support by leveraging process metrics and customer feedback
- Demonstrated strength in customer focused service orientation
