Job Duties And Responsibilities

Day-to-day job responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and implementing effective, scalable tools, technologies, and processes to enable effective legal operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Program/project management: Lead strategic and operational legal projects and programs with on-time and on-budget results
  • Standardize and automate manual processes to improve workflows, knowledge sharing and collaboration among legal team members and the business
  • Collect and analyze financial and other relevant data from department tools and industry resources; help legal leaders define objectives to provide metrics and dashboards that create efficiencies and optimize time and spending; leverage data to help legal leaders make stronger business decisions
  • Work closely with other business lines (including sales, operations, IT, and finance) to assist legal leadership with aligning legal operations with business strategies, objectives, and goals.
  • Manage outside counsel and other legal services vendor programs to ensure accountability and success

Skills, Experience And Requirements

Specific qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or 3 years equivalent experience in accounting, data management, or data analysis
  • Experience in corporate legal departments
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Review, understand and communicate data interpretations to stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent follow through
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and research skills required
  • Law firm experience preferred but not required
