Qualcomm’s global economics team is looking for a candidate with a strong background in economics, management, and communications to help manage a number of third-party relationships with research organizations and think-tanks, and to create communications platforms that translate economic, business, and policy messaging into digestible content. The candidate will be responsible for independently running world-class platforms that drive Intellectual Property and Innovation dialogue in global community. The candidate will also be responsible for co-creating a platform on the Mobile Economy along with macroeconomists, that will house a comprehensive set of data and trends on the use of mobile technologies, and for measuring their economic, social, and environmental impact. The candidate will be responsible for project managing the output of a number of third-party organizations, researchers, and analysts, for creating a constant stream of relevant short articles, blogs, infographics, and policy briefs in partnership with then.
In this role, you will be responsible for working with various internal legal, policy and product teams at Qualcomm to be able to support the policy and business goals of the company. You will have an opportunity to leverage your existing skills while broadening new ones in a fast-paced startup environment within a large company. You will have access to a broad network of academic, business, and policy experts.

This role places a strong emphasis on initiative, strong collaboration skills, and independent generation of high-volume output with minimal oversight.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior work experience in a large corporation or consulting company.
  • Prior experience in building large external facing platforms and producing original creative content for distilling complex concepts into high-level messaging.
  • Motivated Self-Starter; Critical thinker; Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in the industry with a product management, technical marketing, or relevant experience.
  • Experience in independently managing, tracking, and completing large projects.
  • Some background in economics or finance.
