Security Operations Manager

This role requires a unique combination of background investigations experience, physical security, contract compliance, and project management skills to help protect our assets. Must be able to analyze investigation results and draw logical and objective conclusions; may confer with Global Security personnel, hiring managers, and HR; makes recommendations regarding suitability for employment. Coordinate and manage the Global Customs Security CTPAT Audit Program. Additionally, The CTPAT program is designed to review and assess the security infrastructure of company-approved suppliers to ensure compliance with CTPAT guidelines.
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinate and manage the complete background investigations program.
- Coordinate and manage the Global Customs Security CTPAT Audit Program.
- Review and assess the security infrastructure of company-approved suppliers to ensure compliance with CTPAT guidelines.
- Identify cost-savings measures, and streamline and improve the background investigations and CTPAT programs.
- Provide training that builds security awareness focused on protecting critical assets.
- Assess risk and provide mitigation steps that align with business objectives and enable business productivity.
- Ability to travel regionally and occasionally internationally.

Professional Expertise/ Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred although a combination of work experience and education may be accepted.
- In-depth knowledge of background investigation tools and applications.
Experience
- 5-7 years in a similar role within the security domain.
- Background investigations program management experience.
- Intellectual Property Protection.
- Knowledge of and experience with CTPAT.
- Strong and effective communication and presentation experience to cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge and aptitude of automated/integrated security systems and concepts.
Skills
- Working knowledge of legal contracts, budgeting, and key terms.
- Experience with rapid organizational growth.
- Working knowledge of interpreting criminal history records.
- Service-oriented/customer-driven approach.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or combination of requisite experience and education.
