The Senior Investigator is responsible for conducting investigations in accordance with legal requirements and company policies, along with managing and supporting the company’s overall programs, systems and policies that are designed to identify and respond to incidents of theft, fraud and other criminal or unethical activity. Additionally, the Senior Investigator maintains records, manuals and documentation related to investigations.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in the conduct and management of investigation, including complex business fraud investigations from initiation through trial/prosecution, including at least 3 years in a corporate environment.
Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) certification is desired. This investigator should have successfully completed the basic and advanced interview and interrogation courses by Wicklander-Zulawski, Reid or the equivalent and have a significant expertise in utilizing various investigative techniques and strategies.
Strong current work experience conducting interviews and interrogations is needed along with broad general knowledge of economic fraud, theft and crimes commonly experienced by businesses, which include common methodologies of perpetration, prevention and detection. International investigative experience is preferred.
The person in this position must also have experience directing the work of analysts in the use of data tools and exception reporting systems specific to theft/fraud activity. Proficiency in Microsoft products including Word, Excel (including pivot tables & macros), Outlook, and PowerPoint is required.
We’re searching for an investigator who has exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all internal and external business partners. Solid analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills are essential. The ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound business decisions is critical.
