Netspend Corporation is looking to hire a Legal Counsel to the company to develop and expand its innovative business in a complex and dynamic regulatory environment, supporting the company’s other lawyers, compliance professionals, and business managers and help manage litigation matters for the company. The ideal candidate will have regulatory and litigation experience, with a preference in the financial services and consumer protection industry, and thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
The attorney will be responsible managing litigation and providing advice on advertising, offers and promotions, drafting terms of use, and assisting in compliance matters. Key areas include federal regulation of financial institutions with particular focus on Regulation E, Privacy, the Prepaid Account Rule, UDAAP, state and federal regulation of money services businesses and related emerging issues.
This position will report directly to the SVP, Assistant General Counsel and it will be part of the Legal Department based at the company’s corporate headquarters in Austin, Texas.
