Boeing Global Privacy Department is seeking a Privacy and Data Protection Specialist to support Global Privacy Office operations.  The position could be located in Seattle, WA; Mesa, AZ; Englewood, CO; Dallas, TX, or Arlington, VA. Our team is open to a broad range of experience levels including; Mid-Level and Senior Level Privacy and Data Protection Specialist to find the best fit for this position.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintains company privacy and data protection policies, processes, and standards that address privacy and data protection regulations worldwide

  • Provides technical leadership for privacy implementations

  • Provides support to business units and functions and promotes awareness of privacy concepts, legal and regulatory requirements, company privacy and data protection policies, processes, and standard methods and tools

  • Communicates and collaborates with project teams on general privacy matters

  • Conducts privacy and data protection impact assessments against business activity that involves personal information

  • Identifies privacy risks, supports resolution and the development of mitigation plans, and recommends safeguards and controls

  • Maintains understanding of Boeing privacy and information protection policies, processes, controls, standard practices, and global regulatory requirements

  • Coordinates the documentation of processes and improvements

  • Monitors privacy regulations, technology trends, business process changes, and developments in the privacy field; evaluates potential business impacts; and recommends for implementation applicable changes to Company privacy and data protection governance in response

  • Defines privacy policy compliance measures and monitors and reports on Company privacy activities to ensure adherence with policies and procedures, regulations, and industry best practices

  • Defines and manages privacy risk management processes

  • Involved in processes for responding to data subject rights requests and responding to privacy incidents

  • Provides privacy and data protection training and awareness materials for employees

  • Supports due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, and subsidiary integrations, ensuring privacy risks are addressed and resolved

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience working with privacy or data protection laws and regulations

  • Experience implementing privacy frameworks, privacy principles and compliance requirements (e.g., privacy by design, ISO/NIST, APEC, GAPP, GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, cookie compliance, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Information security and/or privacy certification, such as CISSP, CIPP/US, CIPP/E, etc.

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Typical Education & Experience:

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Experienced (Level 3): $93,500- 135,700

Summary pay range for Senior (Level 4): $110,500- $159,850
