Position Summary:

Seasoned attorney with at least five years of labor and employment law experience. Be capable of handling most legal matters with a minimum of supervision. Substantive experience in both traditional labor law and employment law. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for ensuring that the Company complies with all applicable laws, rules and regulations within the associate's areas of responsibility.
  • Keep supervisor informed of all material legal matters affecting the Company.
  • Review, draft and negotiate legal agreements and other legal documents.
  • Advise Company concerning legal rights and obligations.
  • Manage litigation and direct outside counsel in connection with litigation.
  • Personally handle administrative agency complaints and charges, as well as labor arbitrations.
  • Train managers, supervisors and HR professionals on labor and employment compliance matters.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position /Education Qualifications:

  • Must be admitted to the practice of law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel independently.

Desired Previous Job Experience/Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in the area(s) in which the associate is practicing.
