Counsel for Creators LLP is a Los Angeles-based law firm representing businesses in the arts, creative, technology, and entertainment sectors. We're looking for outside contract attorneys to provide occasional support for the document review aspect of our innovative legal membership program, the Creators' Legal Program. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for simple, on-demand "gig work" to supplement their other professional commitments.

SCOPE OF WORK

• You will be expected to deliver brief written summaries of a wide variety of transactional documents, including, but not limited to, services and consulting agreements, intellectual property licenses and assignments, asset acquisitions, film/television/podcast production-related agreements, influencer agreements, business entity formation documents, confidentiality agreements, and commercial leases.
• Reviews must be suitable for delivery to our clients with minimal editing/rewriting.
• Documents are typically under ten pages; reviews must be completed within three business days from assignment.
• The typical workload is one or two reviews per week, which can vary significantly.
• Reviewers are paid a flat fee per review.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have robust analysis and writing skills and, most importantly, effectively communicate legal concepts and issues in plain English.
• Be entrepreneurial-minded and comfortable working collaboratively with us remotely via email, Slack, and Zoom.
• Be reliable and deadline oriented.
• Have a deep understanding of the needs and values of creative businesses and professionals.
• Previous experience as a creative professional or in the arts or entertainment industries is a plus.
