About the role

As an Associate within our Regulatory Operations team, you will help develop, draft and format our core insurance policy documents, including but not limited to the Transparency in Coverage Narratives and Evidences of Coverage across Oscar’s Individual + Small Group Portfolio. You will follow pre-established workflows, tools and requirements to ensure operational success, while simultaneously guiding the development of process improvements, facilitating cross-functional support where needed. You will work with both a wide range of internal Oscar teams and independently to meet departmental and company goals. You will report to the Manager of Regulatory Operations.

You will report to the Regulatory Operations Manger. This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote

The potential base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $96,000-$126,000. The potential base pay for this role in all other locations is: $86,400-$113,400

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a SME for the regulatory operations ecosystem and current strengths, weaknesses, and gaps within pertinent region(s)
  • Partner with the team and cross functional business partners to implement initiatives to improve our business and member facing outputs, while protecting and improving the integrity of the Legal team deliverables.
  • Development and maintain annual filing communication functions and regulator input, while providing crisp, polished next steps for internal and external partners. 
  • Project manage and implement the internal tracking and monitoring of Regulatory Operations team deliverables related to our Legislative processes.
  • Present, communicate, and coordinate information cross functionally in order to ensure operational success with business partners. 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a legal, healthcare-related or humanities field, or 4 years commensurate experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in business operations, consulting, legal writing, project management or healthcare.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience designing and improving workflows.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in note-taking and writing.

Pay Transparency: 

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
