Job Summary

Equinix is on a transformational journey to meet our future needs as a growing and evolving platform company.  Reporting to the VP, Global Legal Operations & Strategic Services (GLOSS), the  Senior Manager, Change Management & Transformation  will play an active role in shaping Equinix next-gen One Legal organization. In collaboration with other members of the GLOSS leadership team, this role will drive the design, development, and implementation of the GLOSS Change Management Office (CMO), supporting the end-to-end change management (CM) strategies, as well as driving the CM execution across project portfolios and overall strategic initiatives.  

The successful candidate is proactive, resourceful and skilled at creating and implementing CM programs and plans that maximize overall stakeholder adoption and usage and minimize resistance. As the CMO leader, you will need to establish a CM program that enables effective delivery through the application of consistent methodology and metrics, while supporting the continuous development of CM capabilities and skills in the Legal organization. 

The Senior Manager, Change Management & Transformation will need to operate with enthusiasm, resilience and a results-oriented mindset, enabling momentum by driving key initiatives to completion and building followership quickly.  

 

Responsibilities 

CMO Development 

  • Design, build and roll-out the GLOSS CM support model, including the development/refinement of the (i) CMO scope (e.g., key change management processes, with a RACI breakdown) and portfolio management system; (ii) stakeholder engagement model; and (iii) CM analytics & success program (e.g., CMO dashboard and key success metrics) 

 

CMO – Focus Areas 

  • Own and maintain the CM methodology 

  • Own and maintain the CM tools 

  • Provide consultative support to the GLOSS PMO and other corporate project teams 

  • Execute and/or coordinate CM actions at the project level 

  • Develop and maintain a CM community 

  • Provide coaching to sponsors and other Legal leaders 

  • CM Portfolio: manage, track and report  

  • Coordinate / execute Comms  

  • Coordinate / execute Trainings, including development of collaterals (videos, QRGs, FAQs, “cheat sheets”) 

Candidate Profile 

The candidate will have experience leading change management efforts for cross functional transformation (preferably Legal transformation), globally. You will bring knowledge and credibility based on academic background and track record of successful change management delivery. A successful candidate will be a collaborative partner, experienced facilitator, and a clear and effective communicator. You will have consulting skills and data analysis capabilities. 

 

Skills

  • Transformation, change management, project management  

  • Excellent written communication 

  • Strong proficiency in MS PowerPoint / Excel / Project / Visio, SmartSheets, Jira 

  • Developing and managing web-based (Intranet) content 

  • Ability to analyze data to deliver insights 

  • Facilitation up to VP level 

  • Presenting to large audiences, in trainings, town halls, summits 

  • Designing and delivering change management solutions, including experience in Legal departments preferred 

  • Global collaboration and communication experience particularly within a matrixed organization 

  • Working in fast-paced, dynamic organization with the ability to execute on changing priorities 

  • Conducting impact analysis, assessing change readiness and identifying key stakeholder 

  • Utilizing experience with large-scale organizational change efforts 

  • Active listening skills, positivity and empathy 

  • Influencing and inspiring others and moving toward a common vision and goal 

  • Being flexible and adaptable, handling VUCA challenges  

 

Engagement & Approach 

  • Move easily between big picture thinking and detailed execution planning 

  • Anticipate stakeholder requirements; develop and present solutions 

  • Seamlessly integrate people, process and technology to the CM strategy and execution plan  

  • Navigate the complexities of cross-functional, global and/or diverse teams and engagements 

  • Initiate and lead open conversations with teams, clients and stakeholders to build trust 

  • Encourage everyone to have a voice and invite opinion from all 

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of change management experience working for large scale transformational programs 

  • At least 5 years hands-on experience in communication management 

  • At least 2 years hands-on experience in training management 

  • Exposure to agile methodology preferred 

  • Exposure to Legal technology implementation preferred (CLM, ELM etc.) 

  • Success at leading cross-functional workshops and alignment events 

  • Demonstrated success influencing senior leadership decision making, facilitating problem solving, and mediating conflict 

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of work, work autonomously and be proactive with communications and task prioritization 

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • MBA or similar advance degree a strong plus 

  • Lean Six Sigma black belt certification or equivalent experience and/or Agile certification a strong plus 

  • Knowledge of and experience with project management methodologies. PMP certification a strong plus 

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of lead-to-cash processes a strong plus
