Overview:

Working closely with other members of the Legal Department, Manager, Legal Operations and E-Discovery will assist with legal department administrative matters, litigation and compliance for the global organization.

Essential Job Functions- Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performing administrative functions for the Legal Department in order to make the department run effectively and efficiently, including managing the Legal Tracker e-billing system, serving as the Department’s liaison with the Accounting, and initiating, tracking and managing relationships with legal vendors
  • Managing key components of litigation and related matters, including e-discovery, legal holds, subpoena responses and insurance claims
  • Facilitating the Company’s global compliance program, including administering policy and training campaigns
  • Identifying additional areas for improvement relating to legal operations generally, litigation practice, compliance program and other areas of focus for the Legal Department, and developing and implementing plans accordingly

Qualifications:

  •  A minimum of five to seven years’ experience at as a legal assistant/paralegal at a law firm and/or in-house
  • A desire to learn the ins and outs of a complicated and exciting business, and to build new skillsets and develop additional areas of expertise
  • Self-starter who will not only complete the tasks assigned, but proactively identify areas of opportunity to advance the Company’s work in these areas
  • An ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
  • An ability to communicate effectively throughout different levels and diverse backgrounds within the Company
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail
  • An ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
