The role: 

This role has a diverse set of responsibilities, primarily focused on assisting with managing global litigation, internal investigations, regulatory enforcement matters, and other high-risk areas to the business. The ideal applicant will have a litigation background and very strong project management skills, with the ability to problem solve independently. This role reports to the Head of Litigation, currently based in New York.

Job responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Head of Litigation and collaborate with various other teams and teammates of varying seniority, including those in legal, product, and finance;
  • Manage the legal hold process;
  • Assist in conducting fact-finding investigations, including gathering information, interviewing potential fact witnesses, identifying documents/data to preserve and/or collect in response to discovery, regulatory agency requests, or internal investigations;
  • Coordinate with the external legal counsel on specific assignments, review preliminary advice for factual accuracy, and assist with providing internal recommendations on case management and strategy;
  • Assist with the administration of the Legal Department’s case tracking system and the processing of invoices; support or drive case management workflows, task lists, status updates, factfinding and discovery, budgets, timing, and overall case organization;
  • Contribute to projects related to process or policy improvements;
  • Assist with special projects and responsibilities in the Legal Department, as needed; and
  • Other administrative tasks, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; Paralegal Certification is preferred;
  • 8+ years of litigation and e-discovery experience gained in a nationally or a regionally recognized law firm and/or in-house position;
  • Strong ability to problem solve independently with minimal supervision;
  • Strong analytical and writing skills;
  • Sound judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and business impact;
  • A robust team player who is proactive, innovative, flexible, creative and capable of managing multiple priorities;
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, detail-oriented, strong follow up, and proud to ensure nothing is missed;
  • Dedicated work ethic and high degree of professionalism, and a proven ability to work both independently and within a team;
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with Tymetrix360 is a plus.

Base Salary Compensation Range

$71,500.00 - $121,700.00

 

Total Cash Compensation Range
