What You Will Be Doing

ChargePoint is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Paralegal to join its legal team. In this role, you will support the legal organization by supporting the legal team as a whole with processing documents for signature using docusign, maintaining the corporate subsidiary records, assisting with corporate filings and much more. In addition to Legal, you will work with nearly every team at ChargePoint, including IT, Information Security, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and Product. This is the right role for you if you are someone who is solutions-oriented, collaborative, and able to think quickly, communicate clearly, and come up with streamlined solutions to process challenges.

  • Duties include general corporate housekeeping matters, including:
    • Drafting and maintaining corporate minutes, resolutions, and corporate approvals as needed;
    • entity formation; entity dissolution; entity foreign qualifications and DBAs, and obtaining EINS, especially with non-US based entities;
    • assist with contract and document management;
    • assist with corporate transactions and digital signatures;
    • maintain corporate entity structure and records;
    • working with local corporate counsel as necessary to support filings and compliance with local laws; and
    • experience and knowledge of SEC filings such as Form 3 and Form 4 filings.
  • Process requests for certificate of insurance with our broker
  • Support M&A/general corporate activities (e.g., due diligence, corporate filings)
  • Assist the Legal Operations lead with contractual record management and lead the team on corporate record keeping and management
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders by providing excellent customer service to colleagues at all levels in the U.S. and Europe by responding to inquiries in a timely, professional and courteous manner
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including finance, tax, stock admin, accounting, people operations and compliance to manage initiatives
  • Assist and support the legal group as a whole in administrative tasks, including the General Counsel, including monitoring and maintaining the internal legal alias
  • Manage corporate legal intranet site
  • Prepare reports and metrics for the legal team, as needed
  • Support ad-hoc and special projects
  • Help to develop, implement and continually improve processes and procedures

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience. 3-5 years of corporate transactional work at a law firm
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Have a current California Notary License
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Box, Google Docs, PowerPoint and collaboration software (such as Docusign)
  • Detail oriented with a strong desire to create structure and scalable processes
  • Customer-centric and solutions-oriented approach in supporting both external and internal clients while protecting the best interest of the company
  • Experience in a global business environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Research and analytical skills are a differentiating plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication and presentation styles
  • Strong work ethic with ability to work independently

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $85,000 to $145,500. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
