Legal.io is working with a leading organic baby food producer that is looking for a commercial counsel to help on a part-time basis (10 hours per week), for an initial term of 3 months.

Job Responsibilities:

Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, manufacturing agreements, term sheets from retailers, SaaS agreements and employment agreements.

Provide guidance regarding the interpretation of these agreements, considering legal, business and relationship risks.

Provide practical, clear and easy to understand legal advice to the business often explaining complex legal advice in business-friendly terms.

Serve as a generalist, able to assist (with GC support) with ad-hoc team needs

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of commercial experience

Growth mindset and positive attitude

Strong drafting and negotiation skills along with excellent communication skills, business judgment and strategic thinking.

Comfortable and adept at balancing legal risk and thinking creatively to propel the business forward and enable smart decisions.

Good listener with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical skills and a sense of humor.

Able to succeed in a fast-paced environment with a diverse and complex workload where there may be ambiguity and a lack of legal precedent.

Prior experience in the food manufacturing industry is a plus

Role Details:

Anticipated Start Date: Immediately

Schedule: 10+ hours per week

Pay Rate: $150+/hour

Location: 100% REMOTE
