The Paralegal will ultimately report to the Associate General Counsel, Litigation with local management and supervision by Senior Counsel, Litigation.

 
How you will impact WestRock:
• This role will support 3 full-time attorneys in managing all aspects of litigation and regulatory practice with a focus on matter support, i.e., managing deadlines, tracking substantive matter developments; case investigation and support, interaction with in-house and/or outside counsel.
• Oversee and manage responses to subpoenas and other service of process, as assigned.
• Assist litigation and employment counsel in various areas of compliance, including training programs, compliance hotline and affirmative action plans.
• Assist with other legal support activities, such as employment agreements, reimbursements, collections, etc.
• Create and manage matters in matter management and e-billing database (Legal Tracker experience is a plus).
• Manage litigation holds, custodian interviews, document collection and production working with outside counsel and e-discovery vendors and internal IT resources.
Work is performed in the WestRock headquarters in Sandy Springs. Minimum of 3 days per week in office, hours are somewhat flexible.
 
What you need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university is required
• Paralegal Certificate from an accredited Paralegal Program and NALA certification is preferred
• 5+ years’ law firm experience strongly preferred
• Experience with wide range of subject matter areas (significant employment law experience is a plus)
• Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment; well-organized and able to manage multiple and changing priorities.
• Strong internal and external communications skills and ability to work with remote managers and business leaders.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
• Energized by change and interested in creating solutions through use of technology resources.
• Excellent written and analytical skills.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, TEAMS, and PowerPoint.
