Paralegal

Expedia Group is looking for a smart, energetic, and experienced paralegal to join theExpedia Legal & Government Affairs group. In this role you will provide both legal and administrative support to the Regulatory legal team. Your work will include supporting on compliance initiatives, implementation of new laws, and investigations. You will also bring your organization and project management skills to the role and develop and maintain internal tools and resources to support the team.

 

What you'll do:

  • Supporting the Regulatory team on investigations work, compliance and reporting requirements and the tracking and implementation of new laws for the Expedia Group business

  • Project managing Regulatory team initiatives

  • Documenting and maintaining various risk tables, and compliance trackers

  • Updating and publishing a monthly Regulatory newsletter

  • Developing and maintaining standardized legal processes, including an online regulatory library, and maintaining tools and databases used by the Regulatory team

 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years paralegal experience with a top regional or national law firm, or working in a dynamic in-house legal environment, or equivalent related professional experience.

  • In-house experience in a global technology company and a background in Regulatory compliance issues are a plus

  • A team player with a track record of establishing strong working relationships with internal/external business clients and within the legal department/law firm

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and work ethic

  • Ability to create policies, processes, and other mechanisms to effectively support Regulatory team initiatives

  • Skill to manage a broad scope of tasks, setting priorities, exercising judgment and problem solving

  • Strong organizational skills with superb attention to detail

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $73,000.00 to $102,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $117,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
