The legal team at MongoDB has a great reputation for being forward thinking and operating at a high level in supporting a fast growing and highly successful business. In this role, you'll be responsible for growing the legal operations function, including developing processes and implementing solutions to improve the day-to-day productivity of the team. You will also help manage our contracts management platform, working to improve our particular use case for lawyers and sales reps. This role will be instrumental in crafting the future of the legal team and legal operations at MongoDB.

This is a full-time position based in Silicon Valley or New York, but we will consider other locations, including working remotely, for the right candidate. You will report to the Legal Vice President and work with the entire legal team, including the General Counsel on strategic projects impacting the legal function.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify Legal Team pain points and implement solutions to scale the operations of the Legal Team (i.e., handle design, rollout, and training for new tools, systems, and processes)
  • Coordinate daily management and maintenance of Conga contract management system, while keeping an eye on the next contract management system for MongoDB
  • Coordinate daily management and maintenance of Brightflag e-billing system and vendor management
  • Provide regular reporting metrics to measure efficiency
  • Assist with management of Legal Team’s intranet site
  • Build relationships across other teams such as Finance, Deal Strategy, Procurement, and Business Systems
  • Maintain team subscriptions and memberships
  • Support and handle a variety of ad hoc projects within the team as they arise

 

Our ideal candidate will have

  • 3+ years of in-house legal operations or operations experience
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter mentality with a high degree of follow through
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with consistent track record of collaborating with other teams
  • Passion for problem-solving
  • Proficiency with business applications such as Microsoft Office, GSuite, Conga, and Salesforce
  • Growth attitude with a desire to work on various legal matters and consider multiple solutions to issues
  • Passion for learning about new technology solutions in the legal industry
  • Phenomenal sense of humor and does not take himself/herself too seriously
  • Celebrates team success over individual achievement
