Simon Property Group, the world leader in the development, ownership, and management of retail shopping centers, seeks to add an experienced, motivated paralegal to its Legal Operations team. The Legal Operations team supports the organization by handling a wide variety of operational and litigation matters. The ideal candidate will be comfortable reviewing legal documents, will have experience with litigation, will be highly organized and will enjoy working as part of a dynamic team.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: 
•    Reviewing and revising contracts and leases at our properties throughout North America 
•    Investigating issues that arise at our properties and reporting on findings and recommendations
•    Communicating with and responding to information requests from Simon employees
•    Drafting correspondence to address and minimize legal risk
•    Collaborating in the management of litigation including monitoring deadlines, reviewing pleadings, and assisting with the discovery process 
•    Maintaining a web-based matter tracking database for such matters.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
•    Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor's degree
•    5+ years of experience preferred
•    Litigation experience preferred
•    Strong organizational and communication skills
•    Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
