The Paralegal provides support to various areas of the Legal department based on departmental priorities and needs including contract review, litigation, compliance, and more. 

This can be a hybrid role (in office at least 1 day each week) based out of our office in Deerfield, IL.  

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Assist with a wide variety of requests to support the corporate legal department, including contract review and providing support on real estate, compliance-related initiatives, debt and financing or M&A transactions.  
• Assist with managing contract intake and review processes.
• Assist in creating and/or managing agreements, data, documents and information.
• Assist with review of legal or business-related documents, including contracts, to issue-spot potential legal concerns and provide advice.
• Assist on projects related to product warranties, labeling, and compliance.
• Assist in managing real estate portfolio and reviewing associated documents.
• Liaise with outside counsel as needed.
• Draft internal memos, summaries, reports and other correspondence.
• Prepare spreadsheets, organizational charts, timelines, presentations, project management tracking.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with various departments with which our team interfaces to obtain and/or provide information.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of experience working as a paralegal
• Prior experience with some, but not all, of the listed duties and responsibilities. Willingness to learn and assist with any of the above

PREFERRED QUALIFIACTIONS:

• Paralegal certificate
• Paralegal experience working in corporate setting
