ROLE & RESPONISIBILITIES:

As part of the Global Litigation and Investigations Team, the Legal Operations Specialist will provide dedicated legal support to the Legal Order Processing Unit Center of Excellence. 

This position will work under the supervision of the Paralegal Supervisor and will provide overall support for the US legal order processing function which includes intake, decisioning and fulfillment of third party legal orders directed to American Express.

 

How will you make an impact in this role?

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Legal Studies or Criminal Justice
  • Must have 3+ years as a legal assistant in a private law firm or government office
  • Experience with assisting with the preparation of responses to discovery requests
  • Experience managing dockets and attorney calendars
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and ability to apply this knowledge to daily work
  • Sense of urgency and ability to discern critical matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Able to work independently and a team player
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail, able to analyze and problem solve
  • Able to quickly train on, navigate, and extract information from a variety of databases and information platforms
  • Able to work productively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Excellent organization and time management skills 

Salary Range: $20.00 to $38.45 hourly + bonus + benefits

The above represents the expected hourly pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
